The Kiev sea began the first races racing boats, Formula 1 H2O

In the town of Vyshgorod, Kiev region began a stage «Formulas-1 H2O». The championship will last 3 days until July 31.

On the first day, the pilots of the racing boats got acquainted with the waterway on the Kiev Sea and conducted several free practice runs. In the evening of July 29 qualifying races of boats of gliders took place. A more intense program is expected on the weekend. On July, 30th the arrivals of pilots of racing boats of free practice are planned, qualification races and demonstration skating on two-seater gliders F-1, as well as the Grand Prix of Ukraine.

On Sunday there will be competitions for the President's Cup. However, due to the tragedy at the Ukrainian mine, it is not yet known whether Viktor Yanukovich will be able to attend the event.

It is expected that the competition will be watched by about 80 thousand spectators. The entrance for all comers is free.

Championship «Formula-1 H2O» is held since 1962. Now the competition is broadcast in 100 countries around the world for an audience of more than 300 million people.

High-speed motorboats take part in the competition, which from the start develops speeds of up to 250 km/h in just 4 seconds.

To competitions «Formula-1 H2O» pilots of racing boats of the highest class are allowed, who have a super license of the International Union of Water-Motor Sport. For the 50-year history of the competition, the right to conduct them, Ukraine won for the first time.
