Unique regatta in the Black Sea

The Black Sea coast of Russia for the first time in history will become not only a witness, but also a participant in a sailing regatta on the world's largest sailing ships. A whole flotilla of the largest sailboats from around the world, together with the Russian sails of the Sedov,Kruzenstern and the frigates Mir and Nadezhda plan to cross the Black Sea twice and stay for four days in the picturesque cities of Varna, Novorossiysk, Sochi and Constanta. The main purpose of the sailing regatta is to attract young people to study marine professions, naval traditions, popularize this type of recreation, As sailing and sea tourism in the Black Sea basin and strengthening of good neighborly relations between maritime powers.
The main distinguishing feature of these sailing races is the entry into the capital of the ХХІІ Winter Olympic Games of the world's largest sailing vessels, acquaintance of the city's sea guests with newly built Olympic stadiums, infrastructure and other objects of the Olympics, including Black Sea yacht marina, as a center of tourism and international class yachting.
According to the already established tradition, this regatta will be held under the patronage of the presidents of the countries participating in it.At the reception with the athletes and guests of the future regatta the president of the Russian Federation spoke.
