Combined Diesel or diesel (CODOD) is a type of propulsion system for ships, which uses two diesel engines, but their simultaneous operation is impossible.

In this system, like the COGOG system, one low-power, high-efficiency engine is used for cruising speed and the other, high-power engine, is used for acceleration and maximum speed. The gearbox allows only separate operation of each of the engines.
