The core business is shipbuilding, together with ship repairs, for which Alexandria Shipyard equipped with the most advanced facilities, from fully-automated steel-cutting machines mechanized welding equipments,electronic adjusting & sighting instruments to environmentally-controlled paint shops.

The company was originally designed as a shipbuilding entity with a production line & material flow to serve this function. In addition to the marine industry, ASY has also used its capabilities to serve the needs of heavy industry.
