Due to the rapidly developing cruise industry in Asia, and a limited number of shipyards capable of building large cruise ships, the Hong Kong-based Genting Group, which owns the well-known brands: Crystal Cruises, Star Cruises and Dream Cruises, has decided to invest in European shipbuilding, in particular the shipyard MV Werften. Within the next five years the German company will supply ten vessels of various types.

Among them, four luxury ships for the company Crystal Cruises described above.
