CMA CGM launches new cargo delivery by sea

Among the fast-growing European companies servicing sea transport there is a tendency to enter the West African countries. This can mean only one thing: in the near future the market of African producers can create a high level of competition for Asian countries. And confirmation of this was the emergence of two new routes from the French company CMA CGM, which will connect the European ports with the African continent.

The shipping company CMA CGM is planning on September 9, 2016 to launch a new cargo delivery by sea, connecting Northern Europe with West Africa. It will receive the name EURAF 1. The route will officially open its work after sending and returning to the Dutch port of the container ship CMA CGM PATRICI. Weekly flight, acting to expand services, will provide direct communication between the ports of Vlissingen, the Netherlands and Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire. In addition, the new EURAF 1 voyage will cover several more ports, and the route will be as follows: Dunkerque (France) — Tilbury (United Kingdom) — Antwerp (Belgium) — Vlissingen (Netherlands) — Dunkirk — Le Havre — Montuar (France) — Tangier (Morocco) — Algeciras (Spain) — Dakar (Senegal) — Abidjan (Ivory Coast) — Dakar — Algeciras — Dunkirk.

And already yesterday, August 30, 2016, the producers of goods used the services of a new flight EURAF 6 from the above-mentioned company. Delivery of cargo by sea for its customers opened the first container truck CMA CGM MILAN TRADER with a capacity of 2,460 containers of twenty-foot equivalent.According to the managers of CMA CGM, these sea shipments will provide fast customer service by linking the Western Mediterranean and markets of West Africa.
